Manchester United prepare to sell Alejandro Garnacho for a reduced fee amid interest from Premier League rivals

Manchester United are actively seeking a buyer for Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho, with plans to finalize a transfer within the next five days. The 22-year-old is no longer in the club’s long-term plans and could depart Old Trafford before the January transfer window closes.

Garnacho to Leave After Falling Out with Amorim

According to GiveMeSport, Garnacho has failed to adapt to Ruben Amorim’s tactical setup and does not share a strong working relationship with the manager. As a result, both the player and the club view an exit as the best solution moving forward.

Despite scoring just 11 goals in 58 appearances last season, Garnacho remains a valuable asset in the market, attracting attention from several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Aston Villa.

United Drop Asking Price to Accelerate Sale

Manchester United’s new leadership under Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reportedly lowered the asking price for Garnacho to £40 million (approximately R$299 million). The reduced valuation has sparked renewed interest from potential suitors.

Tottenham, in particular, sees Garnacho as a player with strong upside, believing he can thrive in a new environment with a development-focused club.

Garnacho Offers Speed and Versatility

Known for his explosive pace, flank penetration, and ability to play across the front line, Garnacho is valued for his tactical versatility. Though primarily a winger, he has also been deployed as an attacking midfielder in the final third.

A potential transfer would mark the end of Garnacho’s time at United, where expectations were high but consistency and managerial fit proved elusive.
