Real Madrid Open to Selling Vinícius Júnior to Liverpool for €150 Million

Brazilian star could leave the Santiago Bernabéu but only for the right price.
Real Madrid is reportedly willing to negotiate the sale of Vinícius Júnior during the current European transfer window but only if an offer of €150 million (R$969 million) is placed on the table. According to Fichajes, club president Florentino Pérez will not block a potential exit if the valuation is met.
Vinícius on Liverpool’s Radar
The 25-year-old Brazilian winger, whose contract with Real Madrid runs until mid-2027, has not yet signed an extension a situation that’s now attracting serious interest from Liverpool. The Premier League giants are reportedly preparing an initial bid of €130 million, with €100M fixed and €30M in add-ons, as per Defensa Central.

This comes amid a spending spree at Anfield, which has already seen Florian Wirtz arrive for a record fee. Liverpool is also reportedly keeping tabs on Rodrygo and Alexander Isak as they reshape their post-Klopp squad.
Mixed Season, Club World Cup Exit
While Vinícius remains one of the most marketable and talented players in world football, his 2024/25 season was not without criticism. Real Madrid suffered a shock 4-0 defeat to PSG in the Club World Cup semifinals, and the Brazilian managed just 1 goal and 1 assist across six tournament appearances.
Reports from Madrid suggest that new head coach Xabi Alonso is not fully convinced by Vinícius, especially after a sluggish start to pre-season preparations under the new regime.
Renewal Demands: Nearly R$200 Million per Year
Contract talks with Real Madrid are reportedly stalling due to salary demands. Vinícius is said to be asking for R$195 million per year, a figure that could make him one of the highest-paid footballers in Europe. So far, the Merengue board has not met his demands, opening the door to potential suitors.
