German giants prepare offer for Real Madrid forward, who has lost space under Xabi Alonso

Bayern Munich have shifted their focus to signing Rodrygo Goes from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. According to Spanish outlet Defensa Central, the Brazilian forward is now a top target after Bayern gave up on signing Luis Díaz (Liverpool) and Nico Williams (Athletic Bilbao).

Rodrygo Losing Space at Real Madrid

Rodrygo’s future at Real Madrid is now uncertain, as new manager Xabi Alonso reportedly prefers Turkish sensation Arda Güler in the starting lineup. The 23-year-old has started only one of Real Madrid’s four matches in the Club World Cup and remained on the bench in two others.

Despite the dip in game time, Rodrygo remains highly valued in the European market.

Real Madrid’s Asking Price

Real Madrid are open to selling Rodrygo but will demand a significant fee. According to the report, the Spanish giants want at least €80 million (approximately $87 million USD / R$510 million) to part ways with the forward.

The club sees his potential departure as a way to fund the signing of a top-class midfielder. However, the final decision will depend on the player’s own willingness to leave.

Bayern End Pursuit of Luis Díaz and Nico Williams

Before turning to Rodrygo, Bayern had been pursuing:

  • Luis Díaz – Liverpool rejected any possibility of a transfer.
  • Nico Williams – The Spanish winger is now close to joining Barcelona.

With both options off the table, Bayern Munich see Rodrygo as a perfect fit for their attacking plans.

Premier League Interest: Man City and Arsenal in the Race

Manchester City and Arsenal are also monitoring Rodrygo’s situation. Pep Guardiola is said to be a long-time admirer of the Brazilian and believes he could become one of the best players in the world under his guidance.

However, Rodrygo has previously turned down offers from English clubs, opting to remain in Spain.
