Borussia Dortmund beats Ulsan HD and advances to the round of 16 of the Club World Cup
German team advances to first place in Group F, the same as Fluminense, with seven points won
Despite putting a lot of pressure and creating chances for a more elastic score, the Borussia Dortmund-ALAnd beat Ulsan HD-COR, 1-0, this Wednesday (25), in the third and final round of Group F of the FIFA Club World Cup. The game was held at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, United States.
The only goal of the match was scored by left-back Daniel Svensson, still in the first half. Despite the minimal score, the German team created chances to score more goals, but came up against a great performance by goalkeeper Jo Hyeon-woo.
With the result, the German team qualified for the round of 16 of the competition in first place in Group F, the same as Fluminense, with seven points won.
The black and gold team’s opponent in the next phase will be the club that qualifies in second place in Group E (River Plate-ARG, Inter Milan-ITA or Monterrey-MEX).
The round of 16 of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is scheduled to take place in single games, between June 28 (Saturday) and July 1 (Tuesday).
