Joe Huber is an American professional football offensive guard who plays for the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League (NFL). Born Joseph Huber on May 2, 2002, he grew up in Dublin, Ohio, before playing college football at the University of Cincinnati and the University of Wisconsin.
Beyond football, Joe Huber comes from a family with military connections. His parents are Jim Huber and Shanna Huber. His father is a United States Army veteran, while his two siblings are Johnathan James Huber and Shara Huber.

Joe Huber’s Girlfriend: Is He Dating Anyone?

There are no sufficiently reliable public reports identifying a current girlfriend or confirming that the Vikings offensive lineman is involved in a romantic relationship.
He has also not publicly announced an engagement or marriage.
Consequently, his relationship status remains undisclosed. Without confirmation from Huber or credible independent reporting, it would be inaccurate to identify anyone as his girlfriend.
Joe Huber’s Children: Does He Have Kids?

Although Huber has spoken about his personal ambitions and professional development, he has not publicly discussed becoming a father.

Therefore, there is insufficient reliable information to establish that Joe Huber has children.
Joe Huber’s Parents
Joe Huber’s parents are Jim Huber and Shanna Huber. Their names are established through publicly available family information, including a memorial published by Schoedinger Dublin funeral home in Ohio.

His military service is specifically acknowledged in Joe’s official Minnesota Vikings biography, making it one of the best-documented details about his family background.
Jim has also publicly supported his son’s football career, including sharing memories from Joe’s childhood playing days.
In August 2025, the Minnesota Vikings published an article about how Joe Huber and fellow offensive lineman Justin Skule had both worn purple Vikings jerseys during their youth football careers.
Although neither player initially remembered the coincidence, their parents had preserved photographs from those early years.
Jim shared a childhood photograph of Joe wearing a purple football uniform on social media, celebrating the connection between his son’s youth football experience and professional career with Minnesota.
The Vikings subsequently highlighted the photograph in an official team feature.
The story demonstrated Jim’s continued interest in his son’s sporting achievements and his appreciation for the journey from youth football to the NFL.
Jim has also been quoted in reporting about Joe’s decision to transfer from Cincinnati to Wisconsin.
In February 2023, The Athletic published an article discussing Huber’s development and his decision to follow head coach Luke Fickell to Wisconsin.
His father supported the move and acknowledged Wisconsin’s reputation for producing successful offensive linemen.
Although Jim’s military service and involvement in his son’s football career are documented, other details about his professional background remain relatively private.

Although Shanna has generally maintained a private public profile, she is part of the family connected to Joe’s upbringing in Dublin, Ohio.
Reliable public sources provide limited information about her professional career, education and personal interests.
Unlike Jim, whose military background and public comments have been documented in football reporting, Shanna has not been extensively featured in interviews about Joe’s sporting career.
Consequently, additional claims about her occupation or individual involvement in particular football decisions cannot be independently established.
Joe Huber’s Siblings: Does He Have Brothers or Sisters?
Joe Huber has two siblings: an older brother named Johnathan James Huber and a sister named Shara Huber.
The Minnesota Vikings’ official biography confirms that Huber has one brother and one sister, while the family obituary for Johnathan identifies both siblings by name.

Johnathan James Huber was Joe Huber’s older brother. He was born on March 5, 2001, in Ohio.
Like Joe, Johnathan grew up in a family with connections to Dublin, Ohio, and participated in athletics during his school years.
According to his obituary, Johnathan was an accomplished high school wrestler known by the nickname “The Cradle.”
He also enjoyed skateboarding, spending time outdoors, reading and cooking.
Johnathan developed a particular passion for preparing food and became a self-taught chef.
His family recalled that he dreamed of opening a Michelin-starred restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, with his siblings.
Sadly, Johnathan died on October 5, 2026, at the age of 25.
His obituary, published by Schoedinger Dublin, identifies Joe and Shara as his younger siblings and describes the close connection he shared with his family.
Johnathan was remembered for his generosity, humor, adventurous personality and willingness to help others.
A memorial service was held on October 17, 2026, in Plain City, Ohio.
Although Johnathan’s personal interests and family relationships are documented, the available obituary does not establish specific details about how he influenced Joe’s professional football career.
Joe Huber’s Sister: Shara Huber
Shara Huber is Joe Huber’s sister and another member of the family from Dublin, Ohio.
Her identity is confirmed in the obituary of their older brother, Johnathan James Huber.
The memorial identifies Shara alongside Joe as Johnathan’s younger siblings.
Unlike Joe, who has received national attention through professional football, Shara has generally remained outside the public spotlight.
Reliable public sources provide limited details about her education, occupation and personal relationships.
The family obituary also mentions that Johnathan dreamed of opening a restaurant with his siblings, illustrating a shared family connection.
However, there is insufficient verified information to describe Shara’s individual career or personal activities.
Joe Huber’s Childhood and Family Background
Joe Huber grew up in Dublin, Ohio, where he attended Jerome High School.
During childhood, he participated in youth football and developed an interest in competitive athletics.
His early football experiences became a source of family memories, particularly after his father preserved photographs showing him wearing a purple Vikings uniform during his youth.
Huber also participated in wrestling, a sport that helped him develop strength, balance and physical conditioning.
Although he eventually became a professional offensive lineman, his high school football career developed relatively late.
According to the Minnesota Vikings, Huber had not played a varsity football snap before his senior season.
He subsequently became a two-way starter, contributing on both the offensive and defensive lines.
During his final high school season, he received All-Ohio recognition and was named the 2019 Jerome Celtics Lineman of the Year.
Huber also qualified for the Ohio Division I state wrestling tournament as a senior in 2020, becoming the first wrestler from Jerome High School to accomplish the feat since 2016.
Despite his achievements, Huber received limited attention from major college football programs.
His opportunities included walk-on offers from Cincinnati and Akron rather than the scholarship offers received by more highly recruited prospects.
He ultimately chose the University of Cincinnati, where he began his college football career in 2020.
Joe Huber’s Family and His College Football Journey
Joe Huber entered Cincinnati’s football program as a walk-on, meaning he initially joined the team without an athletic scholarship.
He redshirted during the 2020 season and spent considerable time developing his physical strength and football skills.
During the following offseason, Huber focused on weight training and eventually increased his weight beyond 300 pounds.
His dedication helped him earn playing opportunities during the 2021 season, when Cincinnati reached the College Football Playoff.
Huber subsequently received an athletic scholarship and became the team’s starting right tackle in 2022.
That season, he started 12 games and earned All-American Athletic Conference Honorable Mention recognition.
After head coach Luke Fickell left Cincinnati to lead Wisconsin, Huber decided to follow him.
The transfer gave him an opportunity to compete in the Big Ten Conference and continue developing as an offensive lineman.
His father publicly supported the move, recognizing Wisconsin’s established reputation for developing offensive line talent.
At Wisconsin, Huber became a regular starter and demonstrated his versatility by playing different positions along the offensive line.
During the 2023 season, he started all 13 games at left guard and did not allow a sack across 475 pass-blocking opportunities, according to Wisconsin’s official athletics biography.
He continued contributing during his final collegiate season in 2024 before entering the professional football recruitment process.
Joe Huber’s Family and His NFL Career
After completing his college football career, Joe Huber participated in the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine and the East-West Shrine Bowl.
Although he was not selected during the 2025 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings signed him as an undrafted free agent on April 26, 2025.
The agreement provided an opportunity to achieve the NFL ambition he had pursued since childhood.
In an August 2025 interview with the Vikings, Huber discussed how his experiences as a college walk-on prepared him for the challenges of establishing himself as an undrafted professional player.
He explained that both situations required him to remain disciplined, improve consistently and demonstrate his abilities through practice.
Huber subsequently earned a place on Minnesota’s roster.
He made his NFL regular-season debut against the Cincinnati Bengals in September 2025.
In October 2025, he made his first career start at left guard during Minnesota’s game against the Cleveland Browns in London.
His professional achievements reflect the determination that helped him progress from a relatively overlooked high school player to an NFL offensive lineman.
