Who Are Cade Stover’s Parents?
Cade Stover was born to Trevor Stover and Chelsi Stover, who raised him and his two younger sisters near Lexington, Ohio.
Both parents competed in college athletics at Bowling Green State University and later helped establish a family farming business.

Trevor Stover is Cade Stover’s father, a former college football player and agricultural entrepreneur.
He attended Bowling Green State University, where he played tight end for the Falcons during the 1990s.
After his college football career, Trevor pursued his interest in agriculture and eventually established a cattle farming operation in Ohio.
According to a September 2021 Ohio’s Country Journal interview, Trevor started the family farm with only a few acres of land and two Angus cows.
Through years of hard work, he gradually expanded the business into a substantial agricultural operation.
The farm eventually raised approximately 80 to 100 calves annually while producing corn, soybeans, and hay.
Trevor also worked in the construction industry and became a part owner of an excavating company with his brother.
Balancing those responsibilities required long working hours, often extending from his construction job into evenings on the farm.
How Trevor Stover Influenced His Son’s Career
Trevor had an enormous influence on Cade’s work ethic and athletic development.
From childhood, Cade helped his father feed cattle, harvest crops, repair machinery, and complete other farm responsibilities.
During interviews, Cade recalled watching his father work long hours before returning home to continue managing the farm.
He learned about repairing equipment by helping Trevor with mechanical work and holding a flashlight while his father fixed machinery.
Trevor also encouraged Cade to develop the physical toughness required for competitive football.
In an August 2025 interview with KPRC 2 Houston, Stover recalled his father’s emphasis on being physically aggressive and never allowing an opponent to dictate the competition.
Those lessons helped Cade become an outstanding high school linebacker before eventually transitioning to tight end at Ohio State.
Trevor’s influence was also evident during the 2024 NFL Draft.
When the Houston Texans called to inform Cade that they were selecting him, he was working on his father’s tractor rather than watching the draft broadcast.
The moment perfectly illustrated the importance of farming in the family’s everyday life.
