Why Morgan Rogers? The 23-year-old Aston Villa star has become the primary target to satisfy Alonso’s tactical demands. Rogers’ rise has been meteoric:

  • Versatility: Capable of playing as an attacking midfielder, left winger, or a “False 9.”
  • Production: 15 goal contributions (8 goals, 7 assists) in 32 matches this season.
  • International Pedigree: A regular in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad, proving he can perform under the highest pressure.

The €70 Million Hurdle Securing Rogers won’t be easy or cheap. Tied to a contract until 2031, Unai Emery’s Aston Villa views him as “untouchable.” Liverpool would likely need to trigger a bid in excess of €70 million (£59m) to even begin negotiations.
