Real Madrid are poised to secure a significant financial boost this summer, with the club expected to pocket around €21 million from the permanent transfers of academy graduates Álex Jiménez and Mario Gila.
Jiménez to Bournemouth: The €11m Windfall
Bournemouth are reportedly ready to activate the €22 million buy option for 20-year-old right-back Álex Jiménez. The Spaniard, who joined AC Milan from Real Madrid in 2023 before moving to the Premier League on loan, has impressed under Andoni Iraola.
Since Real Madrid retained 50% of his economic rights, the Spanish giants will receive €11 million (approx. R$ 68 million) once the deal is finalized in July. Despite never making a senior appearance for Los Blancos, Jiménez continues to be a lucrative asset for the club’s “La Fábrica” academy.
Mario Gila: Milan Move Could Net Further Profits

Jiménez isn’t the only former Madridista generating cash for the Bernabéu. Defender Mario Gila, currently at Lazio, is heavily linked with a €20 million move to AC Milan.
Similar to the Jiménez deal, Real Madrid holds a 50% sell-on clause for the 25-year-old center-back. If the transfer to the San Siro goes through at the reported figures, Madrid would earn an additional €10 million, bringing their total windfall from former youth players to over €21 million in a single window.
