Current Red Bull Global Soccer Director Jurgen Klopp is reportedly open to the Bernabéu job but only if Florentino Pérez meets two massive conditions.

The post-Ancelotti era at Real Madrid could be set for a seismic shift. While Alvaro Arbeloa has stabilized the team at Valdebebas with three consecutive wins, rumors from 365Scores suggest that Florentino Pérez is preparing a move for the ultimate “dream candidate”: Jurgen Klopp.

However, the German tactician, currently serving as the Global Head of Soccer for Red Bull, won’t return to the dugout easily. Klopp has reportedly laid down two “non-negotiable” conditions to take over the reigns at the Santiago Bernabéu for the 2026/27 season.

1. The “Haaland” Project

Klopp’s first demand is the signing of Erling Haaland. While Real Madrid has long been linked with the Manchester City powerhouse, Klopp views the Norwegian as the final piece of the puzzle to balance a squad filled with creative wingers but lacking a traditional, physical “Number 9” of world-class caliber.

While Anas Laghrari and the Madrid board are fond of the striker, the operation remains complex, with no official contact yet made with Manchester City.

2. Full Transfer Authority (Carte Blanche)

The second condition is perhaps more difficult for Florentino Pérez to swallow: Full control over signings. Klopp is known for his “heavy metal” football and specific tactical requirements. He wants the final word on who joins and leaves the squad a power dynamic rarely seen at Real Madrid, where the board usually dictates transfer policy.

Managing the Galactico Egos

Why Klopp? The Real Madrid hierarchy believes the German is the only manager capable of managing the “inflated egos” in the current dressing room. His track record at Liverpool, where he successfully handled superstars like Mo Salah despite occasional friction, proves he can maintain discipline without losing the locker room.

The Arbeloa Factor

For now, Arbeloa remains the man in charge. The “joy” has returned to Madridismo after recent victories, but the shadow of Klopp looms large. If Pérez decides to go “all in” on the German, it would represent the biggest managerial appointment in Madrid’s modern history.
