Fulham have begun exploring a potential move for Sergi Altimira, opening preliminary talks to understand the midfielder’s situation at Real Betis as interest grows across Europe.
According to TEAMtalk, the Premier League side recently contacted Betis to gather information on Altimira’s contract status and availability, but no formal offer has been submitted at this stage.
Fulham Sound Out Betis, No Bid Yet
Fulham’s approach is described as exploratory, with the club seeking clarity on the conditions of a possible future transfer. Discussions did not include specific figures or official terms, serving only to assess feasibility.
Altimira remains under contract with Real Betis until 2029, placing the Spanish club in a strong negotiating position should interest progress.
Altimira’s Role at Betis This Season
Despite competition in midfield, Altimira has maintained a regular presence in Manuel Pellegrini’s squad. He notably impressed after coming on during Betis’ 5–1 defeat to Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu, replacing Marc Roca in the second half.
In the current La Liga season, the midfielder has:
- Started six matches
- Made five substitute appearances
- Registered one goal and one assist
His steady performances have reinforced his standing within the squad.
European Exposure Boosts Market Value
Altimira has also been a consistent figure in Betis’ 2025/26 Europa League campaign, featuring in six matches, including five starts. His involvement at both domestic and European level has helped elevate his profile.
Observers highlight his technical quality, tactical awareness, and composure in possession as key attributes attracting attention from abroad.
Competition Grows as Betis Set Their Price
Fulham are not the only club monitoring the situation. Eintracht Frankfurt have also been tracking Altimira closely and view him as a strong fit for their high-intensity system.
With demand increasing, Betis have already placed a valuation on the player. TEAMtalk reports the Spanish club value Altimira between €20 million and €25 million (approximately R$108 million to R$135 million).
Although Betis are not actively looking to sell, they are reportedly assessing contingency options, including Alex Tóth of Ferencváros, should a significant offer arrive.
