Real Madrid could sacrifice Vinícius Júnior to sign Bayern Munich star Michael Olise

Vinícius Júnior’s future at Real Madrid is uncertain. Without an agreement to renew his contract, the Brazilian could be put on the market by Florentino Pérez, who has his sights set on French winger Michael Olise, currently shining at Bayern Munich.

Renewal at a standstill

Negotiations between Real Madrid and Vinícius Júnior over a new deal have stalled. According to reports from Transfer Feed, if there is no progress before the 2026 World Cup, the club president may decide to sell the Brazilian in order to reshape the squad.

Olise, Mbappé’s recommendation

Olise, 23, has become one of Bayern Munich’s standout performers since joining from Crystal Palace. His name reportedly came up on the recommendation of Kylian Mbappé, his teammate in the French national team.

The winger has been decisive in Germany: 59 appearances, 24 goals, and 20 assists since his arrival. His contract runs until 2029, giving Bayern a strong negotiating position.

Madrid won’t sign without selling

Any pursuit of Olise is tied to Vinícius’s situation. Real Madrid does not intend to add another marquee attacker unless one leaves. Should the Brazilian depart, Olise would be the priority target to bolster Xabi Alonso’s front line.

Other names on the radar

Michael Olise is not the only player on Real Madrid’s list. For 2026, Florentino Pérez is also working on reinforcing the defense, with William Saliba (Arsenal) and Micky van de Ven (Tottenham) both emerging as strong candidates.
