Jadon Sancho agrees to listen to Aston Villa’s offer to leave Manchester United

Jadon Sancho could be the next Manchester United player to leave Old Trafford. According to The Athletic, the English winger has agreed to listen to an offer from Aston Villa, signaling his willingness to join Unai Emery’s project.
Sancho Closer to Premier League Switch
Manchester United is looking to offload the 24-year-old after a quiet loan spell at Chelsea last season. Talks with Aston Villa are not linked to United’s interest in goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, but rather a separate negotiation focused solely on Sancho’s future.
At Villa Park, Sancho would find a clearer path to playing time. The Birmingham side currently only has Donyell Malen and Samuel Illing-Junior as natural wingers, giving the ex-Borussia Dortmund star an opportunity to compete for a starting role.
Struggles at Old Trafford
At Manchester United, Sancho remains out of Ruben Amorim’s plans and faces strong competition in attack. His situation mirrors that of other forwards recently shipped out by the club:
- Marcus Rashford – Loaned to Barcelona
- Alejandro Garnacho – Signed with Chelsea
- Rasmus Højlund – Loaned to Napoli with option to buy
With the transfer window closing in less than 24 hours, Sancho’s departure looks increasingly likely.
Antony Still in Limbo
While Sancho edges closer to a solution, Antony’s future remains uncertain. The Brazilian winger attempted to secure a move to Real Betis, but United rejected the fee offered. Unless new proposals arrive, Antony may remain at Old Trafford despite being surplus to requirements.
