Barcelona give Rashford time to adapt, Flick’s request, and will not terminate the striker’s contract

Marcus Rashford’s start at Barcelona has sparked debate, but the club and coach Hansi Flick are determined to give the English striker time to adapt. Despite early difficulties, reports of a contract termination have been dismissed.

No contract risk

According to Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona are satisfied with the loan deal struck with Manchester United and with Rashford’s professionalism on and off the pitch. The club has no plans to cut ties early, despite speculation suggesting otherwise.

The reassurance comes after rumors claimed Barça were growing impatient with the 27-year-old. Instead, the Catalan giants view his arrival as a positive long-term move.

Flick’s role in adaptation

Behind the scenes, adaptation has been a hot topic. Marca reports that Hansi Flick is prioritizing Rashford’s integration, working on tactical adjustments and physical rhythm to help him find his place in the squad.

Barcelona believe the forward will need time to show his best form, but they remain confident in his potential contribution throughout the season.

Mixed locker-room views

Not everyone is convinced, however. According to El Nacional, youngster Lamine Yamal has privately expressed doubts about Rashford’s level compared to other teammates, hinting at internal competition for attacking roles.

So far, Rashford has featured in all three of Barça’s opening matches this season, starting once and totaling 94 minutes on the pitch. While his performances are still under scrutiny, the club’s stance is clear: patience, not pressure.
