Barcelona dreams of a future attack with Haaland, Kane and Julián Álvarez alongside Lamine Yamal

Barcelona are entering a new era, and at the heart of it is teenage sensation Lamine Yamal. According to El Nacional, world-class strikers Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, and Julián Álvarez have all expressed interest in joining the Catalan club in the coming years, motivated in large part by the chance to play alongside the Spanish prodigy.
Lamine Yamal, the Magnet for Stars
At just 18, Yamal has already become the face of Barça’s new project under Hansi Flick. While he is not a pure goalscorer, his creativity and vision make him one of Europe’s most effective playmakers. Last season, he ranked among the top assist providers in Europe, and this campaign he has already delivered five assists in five matches.
Strikers across Europe recognize that playing next to Yamal could boost their own goal tallies, just as Robert Lewandowski benefited from his service last season.
Julián Álvarez: Barcelona’s Top Priority
Of the three names, Julián Álvarez is Barça’s Plan A. The Argentine fits the club’s vision thanks to his age, versatility, and adaptation to Spanish football with Atlético Madrid. Both Laporta and Flick see him as the ideal replacement for Lewandowski, who is expected to retire from Spanish football in 2026.
However, the deal depends on Atlético’s willingness to negotiate, and for now, the Madrid club has no intention of selling. Even so, Álvarez reportedly views a move to Catalonia positively.
Kane as Plan B, Haaland a Distant Dream
If Álvarez proves unattainable, Barcelona will turn to Harry Kane. Currently at Bayern Munich, the English striker would be a cost-effective option and is highly rated by Flick. The only concern is his age at 32, Kane does not fully fit Barça’s strategy of building around youth.
Erling Haaland remains the most distant possibility. With a contract at Manchester City until 2033 and a massive market value, the Norwegian would require a record-breaking operation. For now, he is Laporta’s Plan C, more of a long-term dream than a concrete option.
Barcelona Allow Themselves to Dream
With Yamal as the cornerstone of the project, Barcelona believe they can attract the biggest names in world football. Whether Álvarez, Kane, or Haaland, the Catalans are positioning themselves for a post-Lewandowski era where Yamal is the architect of goals at Camp Nou.
