Nkunku has an agreement to leave Chelsea this summer and sign for Milan

French striker set to sign long-term deal with the Rossoneri; Chelsea expects €40m offer
Nkunku says goodbye to Chelsea
Christopher Nkunku’s spell at Chelsea appears to be coming to an end. Despite featuring in the last Club World Cup, the French forward did not convince new coach Enzo Maresca and was placed on the transfer list at the end of last season.
With his departure practically sealed, several European clubs showed interest, but AC Milan have taken the lead and are now very close to finalizing the deal.
Milan agreement already in place
According to journalist Santi Aouna, Nkunku has already reached a verbal agreement with Milan. The striker has accepted personal terms and is set to sign a contract running until June 2030, making him one of the highest-paid players in the Rossoneri squad.
The Italian club now needs to settle the final details with Chelsea to close the transfer.
Transfer fee between €35m and €40m
A formal offer is expected to arrive in London in the coming days, with the fee estimated between €35 million and €40 million. Chelsea’s board is unlikely to stand in the way, as the club plans to reinvest the amount to secure the signing of Alejandro Garnacho.
End of the Blues chapter
Nkunku arrived at Stamford Bridge with high expectations but was hampered by injuries and inconsistency. Now, the 26-year-old looks set for a fresh start in Serie A, where Milan believes he can rediscover the form that once made him one of Europe’s most promising attacking talents.
