Manchester City agrees to sell Savinho to Tottenham, but won’t give up €70 million

Manchester City are open to selling Brazilian winger Savinho to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, but will only approve the deal if Spurs meet their €70 million valuation equivalent to roughly R$441 million. The 20-year-old joined Pep Guardiola’s squad last season after impressing in La Liga with Girona and has since drawn attention with his pace and creativity.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Tottenham initially tabled an offer of €50 million, but City have made it clear they are in no rush to sell and will not accept a lower bid. Should a deal go through at the requested price, it would rank among the highest transfer fees ever received by the Premier League champions.
Mixed debut season in Manchester
In his first campaign with City, Savinho featured in 48 matches, scoring three goals and providing 11 assists, contributing directly to 14 goals across all competitions. While his scoring numbers were modest, his ability to stretch defenses and supply key passes added depth to Guardiola’s attacking options.
Career rise from Brazil to Europe
A product of Atlético Mineiro’s academy, Savinho made just 27 appearances for the Belo Horizonte club between 2021 and 2022, registering two goals and one assist. He then moved to PSV Eindhoven before enjoying a breakout season at Girona, where he posted 21 goal involvements in 41 games a run that caught the eye of top European clubs.
Tottenham’s wider transfer ambitions
Tottenham are in the market for a high-impact winger following Son Heung-min’s departure. While Savinho is a prime target, Spurs are also monitoring Real Madrid forward Rodrygo, though his signing appears far less likely due to the player’s status at the Spanish club.
If negotiations advance, Savinho could become one of the most expensive Brazilian exports in recent years and a headline signing in Tottenham’s bid to return to the Champions League.
