Harry Kane scores against Tottenham in a friendly against Bayern Munich and revives the “Ex Law”

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane scored against his former club Tottenham in a friendly match held in Germany, marking his first encounter with the London side since leaving in 2023. Despite missing a penalty, the England captain still managed to leave his mark in the pre-season clash as both clubs prepare for the 2025–26 European football season.
The match served as a key test ahead of major fixtures for both teams. Bayern’s official season opener will be against Stuttgart in the German Super Cup final, while Tottenham will face PSG in the UEFA Super Cup before beginning their Premier League campaign against Burnley. Both clubs have their eyes on the upcoming Champions League.
Kane, who is nominated for the 2025 Ballon d’Or, has been linked in the past with a return to the Premier League and a move to Manchester United. However, speculation cooled after United completed the signing of RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Šeško. Kane remains under contract with Bayern until 2027 and is currently valued at €75 million. Since arriving in Munich, he has scored 85 goals and provided 26 assists in 96 appearances.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are looking to reinforce their attack following Son Heung-min’s departure to the United States. Manchester City’s Brazilian winger Savinho has emerged as their top target, with Real Madrid’s Rodrygo also on the list but considered a less likely option. Savinho, valued at €50 million, joined City last season and is still adapting to English football.
