Bruno Fernandes agrees to leave Manchester United at the end of the season, Al-Ittihad target

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has reportedly given the green light to a summer move, with Saudi giants Al-Ittihad positioning themselves to land the Portuguese midfielder.
Fernandes Open to Saudi Move — But Only in June
At 30, Bruno Fernandes remains a pivotal figure at Old Trafford. However, according to journalist Chris Wheeler (Daily Mail), the midfielder has signaled his willingness to join Al-Ittihad, provided the deal takes place after the current season ends.
The Portuguese star wants to respect his role as captain and complete the 2024/25 campaign before considering a switch. This condition means Al-Ittihad will need to wait until June if they want to secure his signature.
Al-Ittihad’s Ambitious Plan
The Saudi Pro League club is undergoing a major rebuild and has identified Fernandes as a potential partner for Karim Benzema. Reports suggest Al-Ittihad is preparing a lucrative contract offer that would make Fernandes one of the highest-paid players in Saudi Arabia.
The midfielder’s entourage has already been contacted, and initial talks have been positive, with all sides open to negotiations once the season concludes.
Squad Changes in Jeddah
Alongside their pursuit of Fernandes, Al-Ittihad continues reshaping its squad. Midfielder Fabinho has been placed on the market, drawing interest from Brazilian side Botafogo, while N’Golo Kanté has been linked with a possible return to Europe, with Paris FC reportedly making an approach.
