Barcelona eyes PSG’s Doué as part of winning new project with Lamine Yamal

Barcelona are preparing an ambitious rebuild designed to restore their dominance in European football, with young star Lamine Yamal at the heart of the project. The Catalan club has set its sights on PSG’s talented French midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery Doué, aiming to surround Yamal with elite talent capable of competing with Europe’s biggest clubs.
Strengthening Around Yamal
According to insider reports from Indy Kaila, Barcelona believe that adding top-level reinforcements like Doué would accelerate Yamal’s development while boosting the team’s chances of returning to the summit of continental football. Although no formal approach has been made to PSG, Doué’s profile fits perfectly with Barça’s vision for the future.
Financial Hurdles and Potential Spending Power
At just 20 years old, Doué is valued at around €90 million (R$567 million). While that figure is significant, it’s not out of reach for Barcelona if their finances continue to improve. The club has a history of major spending in pursuit of top talent, having paid £142 million for Philippe Coutinho in 2018 and €135 million for Ousmane Dembélé in 2017. With revenue from the new stadium project and better financial stability, president Joan Laporta or his eventual successor could authorize another marquee signing.
A Striker Also on the Shopping List
In addition to midfield reinforcements, Barça’s sporting department is targeting a new world-class number nine. Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane and Atlético Madrid’s Julián Álvarez are high on the wishlist as long-term successors to Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker, now 35, is expected to stay for the 2025/26 season but is entering the final stretch of his contract.
The Road Back to the Top
Barcelona’s plan blends immediate competitiveness with long-term vision: retain Yamal, recruit proven stars, and restore the club’s attacking identity. If their financial recovery continues, a move for Doué could mark the start of a bold new era at Camp Nou.
