Ademola Lookman offered to Arsenal amid Inter Milan transfer impasse

Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has been offered to Arsenal by intermediaries, as uncertainty grows over his proposed move to Inter Milan. The 27-year-old Nigerian international scored 20 goals and registered seven assists in 40 matches last season, attracting interest from top European clubs.

According to journalist Nicolò Schira, Inter Milan remains the player’s preferred destination and has already reached a verbal agreement with Lookman. However, the Serie A side’s €42 million bid was rejected by Atalanta, who are holding firm on their valuation.

Inter Still in Pole Position, but Talks Stalled

Lookman, who has publicly expressed his desire to join Inter, is understood to be frustrated by the lack of progress in negotiations. The player believes he has completed his cycle at Atalanta and is seeking a new challenge in European football.

Despite this, Atalanta’s management has shown no signs of softening its stance, creating an impasse that has prompted Lookman’s representatives to explore other opportunities including a move to Arsenal.

Arsenal Yet to Respond, Exploring Other Options

While the Gunners have been presented with the chance to sign Lookman, sources suggest the club’s focus is currently on alternative attacking targets, notably Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace. No formal offer for Lookman has been submitted by Arsenal at this stage.

With the summer transfer window still open, Lookman is pushing for a resolution that would allow him to leave Bergamo before the deadline. For now, Inter Milan remains in the lead for his signature, but Premier League interest could yet reshape the race.
