Two factors make Milan give up on signing Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea

Striker falls out of favor at Stamford Bridge after underwhelming season and new arrivals.
AC Milan has officially withdrawn from negotiations to sign Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson after the Premier League side demanded a £60 million (€70M / R$447 million) transfer fee, according to reports from journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Senegalese international had emerged as a target for the Italian giants following Chelsea’s aggressive moves in the summer market, including the signings of João Pedro and Liam Delap. However, Milan’s interest quickly cooled once the Blues revealed their asking price.

Jackson, 24, had been seen as a potential reinforcement for Milan’s attack, but the club deemed Chelsea’s multi-million pound request excessive especially considering the forward’s inconsistent performances last season.
Chelsea’s decision to make Jackson available comes amid a summer shake-up under new manager Enzo Maresca. The Senegalese striker, who wore the number 15 shirt, has slipped to third in the pecking order behind João Pedro and Delap.
Despite scoring 13 goals last season, Jackson received heavy criticism for his lack of efficiency in front of goal. His red card against Flamengo in the Club World Cup further damaged his reputation, costing him a starting spot in the final.
Market Interest Remains—But at a Lower Price
While Milan has stepped back, other clubs remain interested. Manchester United and additional Premier League sides are reportedly monitoring Jackson’s situation, though none have come close to matching Chelsea’s valuation.
Sources suggest Chelsea may eventually be forced to lower their price if they hope to offload the forward, especially after reinforcing the same position with younger talent.
