Manchester United rejects €20 million offer from Real Betis for 50% of Antony’s rights

Manchester United has turned down a €20 million (R$129 million) offer from Real Betis for 50% of Brazilian winger Antony’s rights, according to Spanish outlet Sport. The English club is holding out for at least €40 million (R$259 million) as they explore full-sale options.

United Demands Full Transfer or Higher Fee

Despite Antony’s mixed performance and speculation over his future, Manchester United is not interested in a partial sale. Club officials believe the 24-year-old can still draw a full transfer fee above the €40 million mark, either this summer or in a future window.

Real Betis, under coach Manuel Pellegrini, is eager to bring Antony back to La Liga. The Brazilian previously worked with Pellegrini and reportedly wants a return to Sevilla, though Betis may not have the financial muscle to meet United’s valuation.

Al-Nassr Monitoring Situation Closely

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr is keeping a close eye on developments. The Saudi club is ready to submit an official proposal should Real Betis back out. Unlike Betis, Al-Nassr has the financial resources to meet United’s asking price and views Antony as a marquee addition to boost their attacking options.

Sources close to the negotiation say Antony is still prioritizing a stay in European football, but the Saudi offer is gaining traction behind the scenes, particularly as the Premier League season nears kickoff.

Atlético Madrid Still in the Picture

Atlético Madrid is also reportedly interested, though currently on the sidelines of negotiations. Manager Diego Simeone is said to be a fan of the player and could reignite talks if other deals fall through.

A final decision on Antony’s future is expected by Friday (1st) as clubs across Europe and the Middle East race to finalize their squads ahead of the new campaign.
