Liverpool ask for millionaire fee to negotiate Luis Diaz with Bayern Munich

Colombian winger becomes key figure in transfer tug-of-war after Reds reject Bayern’s opening offer
The future of Luis Díaz at Liverpool is uncertain as the Premier League giants set a €100 million price tag for the Colombian star amid serious interest from Bayern Munich.
Bayern’s First Offer Rejected
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Bayern Munich recently made a formal approach to sign the 27-year-old winger. However, the initial bid of €67 million was swiftly turned down by Liverpool, who are demanding a figure closer to €100 million.

The Merseyside club is reportedly standing firm on the valuation, pointing to Bayern’s recent €100 million offer for Florian Wirtz as a benchmark.
“Liverpool see no reason to lower their asking price, especially with Bayern showing they’re willing to spend big,” Jacobs reported.
Luis Díaz’s Position at Liverpool
Though Díaz has been a key contributor since arriving from FC Porto in 2022, Liverpool’s recent squad overhaul under new manager Arne Slot has cast doubt over his starting role.
The club has brought in Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Giorgi Mamardashvili, signaling a new era at Anfield. Sources suggest Díaz may no longer be central to the club’s long-term tactical plans.
Why €100M?
Liverpool’s €100 million valuation isn’t arbitrary. The club is leveraging Bayern’s own market behavior, particularly their willingness to pay nine figures for Wirtz, to justify the price.
With Díaz under contract and still highly rated across Europe, Liverpool are in no rush to sell unless their financial expectations are met in full.
