Arsenal is considering selling Gabriel Jesus this summer, with clubs in Europe and Brazil investigating the striker

Gabriel Jesus could be on his way out of Arsenal this summer, with interest emerging from both European and Brazilian clubs, according to Hand of Arsenal. The striker’s future in North London has been cast into doubt following the signing of Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP.

The Swedish forward, who starred in the Portuguese league last season, is set to undergo medical tests in the coming days before completing his move to the Emirates. With Gyökeres expected to lead the line, Arsenal are now open to offers for Jesus.

Injuries and New Competition Spark Exit Talks

Gabriel Jesus, 27, has struggled with injuries throughout the 2024/25 campaign and could see his minutes further reduced with the arrival of a new top-tier striker. Arsenal’s technical staff reportedly believe now may be the right time to cash in on the Brazilian, who joined the Gunners from Manchester City in 2022.

Clubs from both Brazil and Europe are already monitoring the player’s situation. While no formal offers have been submitted, early talks have begun behind the scenes.

Flamengo and Palmeiras Fans Push for Return

In Brazil, Flamengo and Palmeiras supporters have been vocal on social media, urging their clubs to bring Jesus back to his homeland. At Palmeiras, Jesus remains an idol after rising through the youth ranks and starring in the club’s 2016 title-winning campaign.

Flamengo, meanwhile, have been aggressive in the transfer market this window, signing high-profile names like Samuel Lino, Saúl Ñíguez, Jorginho, and Emerson Royal, and fans see Jesus as another dream addition.

Salary a Major Obstacle

According to Spotrac, Gabriel Jesus was the 10th-highest-paid player in the Premier League during the 2024/25 season. His annual wage is estimated at £13.78 million (approximately €16.25 million) a figure far beyond what any Brazilian club could afford without a significant salary cut.

While Jesus has never ruled out a return to Brazil, any such move would likely require a massive wage reduction or creative structuring involving sponsorship deals.
