AC Milan Open Talks to Sign PSG Striker Gonçalo Ramos in €30M Deal

AC Milan have opened formal negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain to sign striker Gonçalo Ramos, as the Italian giants continue their search for a new centre forward ahead of the 2025/26 season.

According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Milan is preparing a €30 million offer to secure the Portuguese international on a permanent deal. PSG are reportedly open to selling the 23-year-old, who has failed to meet expectations since joining the Ligue 1 champions from Benfica.

PSG Ready to Sell After Underwhelming Season

Ramos, who arrived at PSG in 2023, endured a disappointing second season, with limited starts and inconsistent form. The Parisian club, under pressure to streamline its squad, has informed interested parties that it is willing to negotiate a sale and will not block a transfer.

AC Milan have emerged as frontrunners in the race to sign the striker, though competition remains from other European clubs, including Juventus, who are also in the market for a traditional number nine.

Milan Rule Out Loan, Push for Permanent Deal

Sources close to the discussions indicate that Milan are focused solely on a permanent transfer, dismissing the possibility of a loan with an option or obligation to buy. The club sees Ramos as a long-term solution to bolster the attacking line, particularly after Olivier Giroud’s departure.

With the Serie A campaign set to begin next month, Milan are pushing to conclude the deal within the current transfer window. PSG, meanwhile, is expected to reinvest the funds from Ramos’ sale as it continues its summer rebuild.

Gonçalo Ramos: Career Snapshot

A product of Benfica’s youth system, Gonçalo Ramos rose to prominence during the 2022 World Cup with a hat-trick for Portugal. However, his transition to PSG has been challenging, with limited minutes and stiff competition in the squad. A move to Serie A could offer a crucial reset for the forward, who still has significant upside.

If negotiations progress without setbacks, Ramos could be announced as Milan’s marquee attacking signing of the summer.
