Bayern Munich beats Mainz and remains isolated at the top of the Bundesliga
Title is not mathematically confirmed thanks to Leverkusen’s victory, but the lead remains eight points at the top

BAYERN CLOSER TO THE TITLE
Bayern Munich beat Mainz 3-0 this Saturday at the Allianz Arena in a match for the 31st round of the Bundesliga. Sané, Olise and Dier scored the goals in the comfortable victory for the undisputed leaders. There was a chance that the Bavarians would be confirmed as German champions with the result, but that did not happen, as Bayer Leverkusen also won their game: 2-0 at Augsburg. Despite this, the trophy seems to be a matter of time, as Bayern has an eight-point advantage at the top, with three more rounds to play.
KANE CAN BE CHAMPION… WITHOUT PLAYING
Harry Kane received his fifth yellow card in the Bundesliga this Saturday against Mainz. As the rules define five yellow cards as an automatic suspension in the German Championship, the English striker is out of the game against RB Leipzig next Saturday, which could finally define Bayern Munich’s 34th Bundesliga title, and the first trophy of the center forward’s career.
500X THOMAS MÜLLER
By stepping onto the pitch, Thomas Müller has reached the historic milestone of 500 Bundesliga appearances, all of them for Bayern Munich. He is the 13th player with the most appearances in the history of the competition, behind other important Bayern names such as Manuel Neuer and Oliver Kahn.
