According to The Athletic, Borussia Dortmund are interested in acquiring Carney Chukwuemeka on loan in the January transfer window.
Without having played a single minute in the Premier League and only started once this season, the 21-year-old midfielder is not in Enzo Maresca’s plans and a move to the Bundesliga could even become a reality.
With a release clause set at €48 million, it is unlikely that the player will leave the London club permanently, so a loan move seems to be the immediate solution. Borussia Dortmund are known for developing young talent and have been keeping an eye on the English market, with Jadon Sancho and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens being the main examples, which could be a point in the yellow and black club’s favour when it comes to convincing Chukwuemeka to move to Signal Iduna Park.
