On his late mother’s birthday, Sérgio Conceição marked the moment when she would have turned 90 and left an emotional message on social media.
“Today would be my 90th birthday, Mom. I am sure that you follow your family’s journey with pride and faith. Everything I do, the hours I work, the sacrifices and the effort are in honor of the values that you have always instilled in us. Congratulations, Mom!” he wrote.
Maria Alice died at the age of 57, when Sérgio Conceição was just 18, at a time when the current Milan coach was in the youth ranks of FC Porto.
