PSG slams John Textor: “He made a fool of himself”
Lyon president leaves strong criticism of Nasser Al Khelaifi, leader of the Parisian club

Relations between John Textor and Nasser Al Khelaifi are at an all-time low after the former attacked the latter’s position of power as president of PSG , the European Club Association (ACE) and one of the television channels (beIN Sports) that broadcasts Ligue 1 matches . The American businessman has now received his response.
“It is a shame that class and elegance are not for sale, because that would have prevented Mr Textor from making a fool of himself with his gross and lying insults against our president, our institution and our fans,” said PSG, in a statement sent to RMC Sport.
Textor also assured that he would not sell any Lyon players to PSG (despite the club needing to generate income to avoid relegation in the office). A position that did not please the Parisians either, as the rest of his response indicates: “May he return to planet Earth, and also to France, to better understand this Ligue 1 that we love so much.”
«I was unaware of the institutional protection of a certain club»
This exchange of accusations began with John Textor denouncing a position that he himself believes to be one of too much power on the part of Khelaifi, due to the different positions he holds.
“I was unaware of the institutional protection of a certain club and the power of a certain person over bodies such as ACE and UEFA. In July, I was completely shocked because we spoke about television rights and the president of the League, who was supposed to lead the debates, said practically nothing… It was Nasser who led the debates, when he shouldn’t even have been present, as the boss of a television channel directly involved,” he also told RMC , later criticizing the intimidating behavior of the Qatari leader.
“If there was a dissenting voice, Nasser Al Khelaifi would bark at that person, there was also a lot of intimidation,” John Textor added.
