Pep Guardiola: “We’re back to doing the things that define this team”
Spanish coach analyses Manchester City’s rout of Ipswich

Manchester City returned to winning ways in the Premier League , with a 6-0 win over Manchester City . After the match, Pep Guardiola , the Citizens ‘ coach , was pleased with the three points and highlighted that the team had returned to doing what it usually – and should – do.
“We are very pleased. We have done the things that have defined this team over the last 10 years. We are pleased with the three points and to have qualified for next year’s Champions League . It was not our best performance, but we were consistent in our performance. A lot of what we did was not seen in the last few games we won,” said the Spanish coach.
“ Ipswich beat Chelsea here, they won at Tottenham . They are a good team and Delap is a fantastic striker. The players saw what we are worth and that is the best thing,” praised Guardiola , who also explained that the difference was, above all, in the relationship between the players on the pitch: “The way we played without the ball, we didn’t let them play in tight spaces. Everyone who attacked the ball was more intelligent, quicker, more agile. Everyone was connected. You can’t be quick, clever and good if you are not connected defensively.”
