Portuguese coach is being sought after to replace Pierre Sage at Lyon
Paulo Fonseca is getting closer and closer to returning to France, through Lyon .
According to Fabrizio Romano, an expert in market matters, the Portuguese coach is about to end the contract that still links him to Milan — the club that fired him in December last year — so he can head to the Ligue 1 club , which fired Pierre Sage.
According to the information released, there is already a verbal agreement with the club owned by North American businessman John Textor for the Portuguese coach to take over his role.
This will be the 51-year-old coach’s second experience in the French league, as in 2022/23 and 2023/24 he was in charge of Lille.
