Stuttgart had a scare, fell behind, but turned the game around and thrashed Young Boys 5-1 in front of their fans in Germany. The rout puts the team on seven points in the Champions League and dreams of securing a spot in the knockout stages. The Swiss, who are on zero points, are eliminated.

Young Boys opened the scoring early in the game with Lakomy. During the celebration, a beautiful tribute was paid to striker Elia, who lost his son the day before the match and did not play. Then, Stuttgart woke up and built up the rout with goals from Keitel, Vagnoman, Führich, Millot and Stiller.
