Chelsea: Maresca reveals date for João Félix’s return
Portuguese international missed the Blues’ last two games
João Félix has not been on the teamsheet for Chelsea ‘s last two games , against Astana and Brentford . The reason for the Portuguese international’s absence has not been revealed by the London club, but Blues manager Enzo Maresca has revealed the date for the winger’s (possible) return.
« João Félix and Romeo Lavia will probably be available for the next game», said the coach, who also addressed all the absences in the squad: « Carney [Chukwuemeka] , after Astana , was sick, Chilly [ Ben Chilwell ] was sick. Pedro [Neto] was suspended and then we had Reece [James] and Wes [ Fofana ] injured and, unfortunately, during yesterday’s [Saturday] session, Benoit [Badiashile] felt something and Misha [ Mudryk ] is also out.»
Félix has five goals and two assists in 15 games this season. Chelsea play next Thursday against Irish side Shamrock Rovers in a Conference League match .
