Two months later, the Brazilian is back on the pitch
Alisson Becker returned to Liverpool training this Monday and, this Tuesday, he will start against Girona , in the 6th round of the Champions League .
The revelation was made by Arne Slot to TNT Sports , saying that the Brazilian will be a starter in Catalonia.
The goalkeeper has not played since October 5 due to a thigh muscle injury. Since then, he has been replaced by Caoimhin Kelleher , who has had his ups and downs during this period: he saved a penalty from Kylian Mbappé , for example, but looked bad in the photo against Newcastle , in a move that resulted in the Reds losing two points in the Premier League.
Signed from Roma in 2018 for €62.5 million, Alisson has since been the first-choice goalkeeper for Liverpool, a club he has represented 271 times and won six trophies for.
