This Thursday, Anderlecht and Porto faced each other at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium, in the fifth round of the Europa League. In a tight match, the teams drew and added one more point each in the league table.

After just 18 seconds, Anderlecht scored the first goal. Dolberg received a pass, advanced at speed and put the ball into the net. Luckily for Porto, the player was in an offside position.

In the eighth minute, Porto appeared with Eustáquio finishing a bomb inside the area, but Coosemans made the save.

In the 15th minute, star player Samu appears trying to leave his mark. He finished with a header, but got the ball wrong and ended up sending it into Coosemans’ hands.

In the 22nd minute, Moura received a kick to the face during a dispute for the ball inside the Anderlecht area. Penalty awarded!

Brazilian international Galeno was responsible for the penalty and he did not disappoint and sent a bomb into the left corner of Coosemans’ net.

Porto were so hungry for goals that in the 39th minute, a curious incident happened. Pepê stole a ball that Samu was adjusting to finish. Yes, that’s right, he stole the ball from his teammate and kicked it towards Anderlecht’s goal, but it was saved by Coosemans.

In the second half, Anderlecht once again threatened in the first minute. Degreef headed the ball, which hit the left post, bounced off the goal line, got away from Diogo Costa and was cleared by Porto’s defense. Almost the equalizer.

It didn’t take long and, in the 51st minute, Pepê misplaced a pass and lost the ball to Rits, who controlled it and passed it to Degreef, who finished into Diogo Costa’s net.

Towards the end of the match, Fábio Vieira came on to replace Eustáquio. With his first touch of the ball, he put Porto ahead again, in the 82nd minute. The player received the ball at the edge of the area and finished into the right corner of Coosemans’ net.

The joy was short-lived. In a beautiful move, Amuzu dribbled past Porto’s defense and finished with a bomb from the edge of the area. The ball ended up in the left corner of Diogo Costa’s net.

The match ended in a draw between the teams, in a tough duel that resulted in just one point on the table.

In the next round, Anderlecht will face Slavia Paha on December 12th. Porto will face Midtjylland on the same date.
