Gyokeres assures that he can “do even better”
Sporting’s forward was once again in the spotlight for Sweden, this time with two goals, and was happy with the victory
Sweden have won again in the Nations League and once again with Viktor Gyokeres in the spotlight. The Sporting forward scored twice in the first half, after providing two assists and a goal in the win in Azerbaijan , and the Swedes beat Estonia 3-0 at home.
The 26-year-old was delighted with another three points and another good performance, but he wants more: “They weren’t difficult goals, but rather good attacking play from us. We feel good in these two games. Maybe we can do even better during the 90 minutes, but we can be quite satisfied”, he said, in a quick interview with TV6, after the end of the match, before explaining why there were no goals in the second half.
«In the second half it became more difficult to position ourselves. When they received the red card they became even more defensive. Maybe we needed to make some changes in our attacking game, but we couldn’t do it», he concluded.
On that Swedish television channel, the league ‘s top scorer was highly praised by Fredrik Ljungberg, a former Sweden international , who said there has been “a difference in class” with Gyokeres on the pitch.
