Portuguese suffered a muscle injury in training and will miss the Italians’ next two games
Having made his debut last Sunday, coming on at half-time in the goalless draw between Juventus and Roma in Turin, Francisco Conceição will not be able to continue that good performance in the second half.
The Portuguese player was injured in training on Wednesday, according to Gazzetta dello Sport , and will therefore miss the Serie A trip to Empoli and the Champions League clash against PSV . He is scheduled to return for the home match against Napoli on 22 September (Sunday).
The injury is muscular and recurrent, and he will be assessed again on Thursday, according to the same source. The 21-year-old player was not called up by Roberto Martínez for this national team training camp, due to the fact that he did not train with FC Porto during pre-season, and is now taking advantage of this international break to recover as quickly as possible.
