Bellingham suspended for two games after expulsion at the end of Valencia-Real Madrid
Real Madrid are expected to appeal the punishment
Jude Bellingham, a Real Madrid player, was suspended for two games following his expulsion after the final whistle of the last matchday’s match against Valencia, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
Remember that the game ended controversially, with referee Gil Manzano blowing the whistle for the end at a time when the ball was in the air, in a cross that led to Bellingham’s header. The player, remember, went furiously towards the referee and was sent off
In the match report, Manzano revealed the English international’s words. “In the 99th minute, the Bellingham player, Jude Victor William, was sent off for the following reason: after the end of the game and still on the field of play, he ran towards me with an aggressive attitude and shouting, repeating several times: “it’s goal, c…”, it can be read.
It is now expected that the Merengue emblem will appeal the punishment. If he doesn’t do so, Jude Bellingham will probably miss Real Madrid’s next matches in La Liga: Sunday, at the Bernabéu, against Celta de Vigo, and on March 16, in Pamplona, against Osasuna.
