The three English clubs on Nagelsmann’s radar
German coach ends contract with ‘Mannschaft’ after the European Championship and continuity is unknown
The summer isn’t that long, which will be marked by the European Championship in Germany in terms of football, but also by the usual changes of chess pieces on the boards of various clubs.
One of the names that promises to heat up the market is that of the current Germany coach, Julian Nagelsmann. At the end of his contract with the German federation and free after the end of the European Championship, the 36-year-old coach has been appointed to several clubs, but it is in England that the name sounds with greater insistence.
According to Bild, the question surrounding Nagelsmann’s future arouses a lot of curiosity in Her Majesty’s lands and the Premier League appears to be one of the main destinations, with three teams on the young German’s radar: Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle .
There is even speculation that Newcastle will be Nagelsmann’s favorite for the simple fact that German midfielder Favian Schar plays there and has the same manager as the German coach. Erik ten Hag may have his days numbered at Old Trafford at the end of this season and it is already clear that Jurgen Klopp will put an end to Liverpool.
But not only in England are people talking about Nagelsmann and it is worth remembering that in Spain he was also appointed to Barcelona after the announcement of Xavi Hernández’s goodbye at the end of the current season, in what was called the “German route”.
