João Henriques’ Radomiak stops leader and is close to staying
A 2-2 draw against Lech Poznan on matchday 30 allowed Radomiak to equal the best goal scoring record in its history in the top division of Polish football

Radomiak Radom, coached by Portuguese João Henriques, surprised this weekend by holding the Polish league leaders, Lech Poznań, to a 2-2 draw in a thrilling encounter.
Lech Poznan – which had Joel Pereira and Afonso Sousa in the starting eleven – seemed to have the game under control and quickly took a 2-0 lead, after goals from Mikael Ishak (5′) and Filip Jagiello (34′), but the team coached by João Henriques never gave up.
In the final stretch and with Rafael Barbosa and Francisco Ramos on the pitch – he came on in the 73rd minute – Angolan Capita reduced the hosts’ deficit, with Abdoul Tapsoba scoring the goal that sealed the final result, in the 90+1′.
With this draw, Radomiak now has 36 points and strengthens its position in the table (13th), with a comfortable nine-point advantage over the first team below the relegation zone, with only four matches remaining in the championship.
This result not only brings the club closer to remaining in the Ekstraklasa, which could be mathematically guaranteed in the next matchday, but also allowed Radomiak to equal the best goal scoring record in its history in the top division of Polish football (42).
