Félix Samson’s Family: Girlfriend, Children, Parents and Siblings

Last Updated on October 1, 2026 by Filepe

Félix Samson is one of the young defenders emerging through Major League Soccer, but comparatively little has been published about his private family life. Born on October 26, 2007, in Greenwich, Connecticut, Samson has an interesting American-Canadian background: he was born in the United States to parents from Quebec, Canada.

That family connection has also influenced his international football career. Although Samson was raised in the United States, his Canadian heritage through his parents made it possible for him to represent Canada at youth international level. As of now, his parents’ names, possible siblings and romantic life have largely remained outside the public spotlight.

Who Is Félix Samson’s Girlfriend?

As of now, Félix Samson has not publicly confirmed having a girlfriend. No romantic partner has been identified in official profiles from FC Cincinnati, CF Montréal, Major League Soccer or Canada Soccer.

Samson has only recently begun his professional career, and public coverage of the defender has primarily focused on his development as a footballer rather than his personal relationships.

There are also no reliable interviews in which Samson has discussed dating or introduced a girlfriend publicly. For that reason, it would be inappropriate to connect him romantically with someone based on speculation or unverified social-media activity.

Is Félix Samson Married?

There is no public indication that Félix Samson is married. The Canadian youth international is still at the beginning of his professional football career, and neither he nor his clubs have publicly identified a wife.

As of now, his relationship status should therefore be considered private rather than making assumptions about whether he is single or dating someone.

Does Félix Samson Have Children?

There is no reliable public information indicating that Félix Samson has children.

Official biographies from CF Montréal, FC Cincinnati and MLS contain information about his birthplace, Canadian family background and football development but make no reference to him being a father.

As of now, Samson therefore has no publicly known children.

Who Are Félix Samson’s Parents?

The most important confirmed information about Félix Samson’s family concerns his parents. Both CF Montréal and FC Cincinnati have officially stated that Samson is the son of parents who were born in Quebec, Canada.

Their names, however, have not been publicly disclosed in the major official profiles currently available. Samson has also not given a detailed public interview identifying his mother or father individually.

While relatively little is known about them personally, their Canadian background is an important part of Samson’s story because it explains why the Connecticut-born defender is eligible to represent Canada internationally.

Félix Samson’s Father

Félix Samson’s father is from Quebec, according to official club information. However, his name, occupation and personal background have not been reliably published.

There is therefore not enough verified information to provide a detailed individual profile of Samson’s father without relying on speculation.

What can be established is that Samson grew up with a significant connection to Canada despite being born in Connecticut. That Canadian connection ultimately became important when he entered the country’s youth national-team program.

Félix Samson’s Mother

Félix Samson’s mother is also Quebec-born. Like his father, she has remained outside the public spotlight, and established football sources have not disclosed her name.

Rather than identifying either parent individually, CF Montréal has consistently described Samson simply as the son of Quebec-born parents.

This suggests that the family has maintained a relatively private profile while Félix has progressed from youth soccer into the professional game.

Where Are Félix Samson’s Parents From?

Both of Samson’s parents were born in Quebec, the predominantly French-speaking Canadian province that includes Montreal and Quebec City.

Samson himself was born in Greenwich, Connecticut, in the United States. His family background therefore gave him connections to both countries from an early age.

When CF Montréal announced his first professional contract in November 2025, the club specifically highlighted his Quebec parentage while explaining his connection with the Canadian national-team program.

Félix Samson’s Canadian Heritage

Samson’s family heritage is particularly relevant because his early football development took place largely in the United States.

He developed with New York Soccer Club before joining the CF Montréal Academy in August 2023. Montréal subsequently acquired his Homegrown rights from New York City FC as part of his move into the club’s academy structure.

Despite being American-born, Samson elected to represent Canada at youth international level. His eligibility stems from his Canadian family background.

He received his first Canada youth call-up in 2025, joining the Canadian Under-18 national team for matches against Finland and Switzerland.

His Parents’ Canadian Roots Connected Samson to CF Montréal

Samson’s decision to continue his development in Montreal created an interesting connection between his football career and his family’s heritage.

After growing up in Connecticut and developing within the New York youth soccer system, Samson moved to Quebec to join one of Canada’s major professional club academies.

He spent two seasons developing within CF Montréal’s setup and represented the club at the 2024 MLS NEXT All-Star Game.

His progression eventually resulted in CF Montréal offering him his first professional contract on November 24, 2025.

Félix Samson Signed His First Professional Contract at 18

Samson officially became a professional footballer shortly after turning 18. CF Montréal signed the defender to a Homegrown contract covering the 2026, 2027 and 2028 seasons, with club options for 2029 and 2030.

The signing made Samson the 28th Homegrown player from the club’s development system to reach the first team.

CF Montréal highlighted several aspects of his game when announcing the deal, including his ability to play both centrally and at right-back, his anticipation and his comfort building play from defense.

The milestone represented an important step for a player who had moved away from his Connecticut youth environment only a few years earlier to continue developing in Quebec.

Does Félix Samson Have Brothers or Sisters?

As of now, there is no reliable public information identifying any brothers or sisters of Félix Samson.

Neither CF Montréal nor FC Cincinnati has mentioned siblings in their official biographies of the defender, while Canada Soccer’s coverage has concentrated on his playing career rather than his wider family.

Searching for people who share the Samson surname would not be sufficient evidence of a family relationship. Without confirmation from Félix himself or another reliable source, any supposed brother or sister should therefore be considered unverified.

Félix Samson Keeps His Family Life Private

Compared with established international stars, relatively little information about Samson’s life away from football is available publicly. This is understandable given that he only signed his first professional contract in late 2025.

His official profiles focus almost entirely on his football development, and his parents appear to have remained outside the media spotlight.

The only consistent family detail published by both clubs is their Quebec origin. No names have been provided for his parents, while information concerning siblings, a girlfriend or children has not been publicly confirmed.

Félix Samson’s Move to FC Cincinnati

Shortly after signing his first professional contract with CF Montréal, Samson moved to FC Cincinnati for the 2026 season.

On January 6, 2026, Cincinnati acquired the defender on loan from Montréal. The agreement runs through the 2026 MLS season and includes an option that could make the transfer permanent.

Samson was subsequently assigned to FC Cincinnati 2, giving him regular professional playing time in MLS NEXT Pro while remaining available to develop around Cincinnati’s first-team environment.

The move marked Samson’s first full professional season and another important stage in a career that had already taken him from Connecticut to Montreal and then Cincinnati.

Félix Samson’s First FC Cincinnati Appearance

Samson’s development earned him opportunities around FC Cincinnati’s senior team during the 2026 season.

He made his first appearance for the first team during a friendly victory against English club Burnley, with FC Cincinnati’s coaching staff praising his composure and ability to read situations on the field.

By September 2026, Samson had become a regular presence for FC Cincinnati 2, making 20 starts during the MLS NEXT Pro campaign. Cincinnati subsequently added him to the senior roster on a short-term agreement for an MLS match against CF Montréal.

Those developments demonstrated his progress during the first year of his professional career.

Félix Samson Represents Canada Internationally

Samson’s Canadian family heritage has allowed another important part of his career to develop alongside his club football.

After receiving his first Canada Under-18 call-up in 2025, he continued progressing through the Canadian youth national-team system.

He was later selected for Canada’s Under-20 program and was included in the squad for the 2026 Concacaf Men’s Under-20 Championship.

His international career therefore provides the clearest public example of how his parents’ Quebec roots have influenced his football journey.
