Arsenal moved further clear at the top of the Premier League table on Saturday, despite being held to a lackluster 0-0 draw by a resilient Nottingham Forest.

In a match where clinical finishing was nowhere to be found, Mikel Arteta’s side dominated possession but lacked the “killer instinct” to break down Forest’s disciplined defense. However, thanks to Manchester City’s derby defeat and Liverpool’s draw against Burnley, the Gunners successfully extended their lead at the summit.

Missed Chances Haunt the Gunners

The story of the match was one of wasted opportunities. Arsenal controlled the pace from the whistle, racking up 15 shots, but only managed to test Matz Sels four times.

The most glaring misses came from the Brazilian duo of Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus. Martinelli failed to convert a one-on-one opportunity in the first half, while Jesus saw a golden second-half chance thwarted by a superb save from Sels after a scramble in the box.

For the hosts, the point is a massive boost in their fight against the drop. Elliot Anderson was the standout performer at the City Ground, providing a tireless presence in midfield that disrupted Arsenal’s creative rhythm. The draw allows Forest to pull further away from the relegation zone, adding another vital point to their survival tally.

The Title Race Standings

Following the conclusion of Round 22, the Premier League table looks increasingly favorable for the North London side:

  • Arsenal: 50 points (1st Place)
  • Real Madrid: (Contexto de La Liga)
  • Man City / Liverpool: Falling further behind.

With 50 points now on the board, Arsenal holds a comfortable cushion as the season enters its most critical phase.
