Thibaut Courtois has become the latest Real Madrid star to attract serious interest from Saudi Arabia, with a lucrative proposal placing his future under the spotlight. Despite being the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper at the Santiago Bernabéu, the Belgian international has reportedly received one of the most significant offers of his career.

According to E-News, a Saudi Pro League club — whose identity has not yet been disclosed has submitted an astronomical offer to lure Courtois away from Real Madrid. The proposal includes a three-year contract worth a total of €90 million, equivalent to €30 million per season, figures that have drawn attention within the Spanish club’s hierarchy.

Even without official confirmation from the Saudi side, the offer is already considered one of the highest Courtois has ever received, highlighting the continued financial power of the Middle Eastern league in the global transfer market.

Courtois Prioritizes European Football

Despite the financial appeal, Courtois is reportedly unlikely to accept the move. Sources close to the player indicate that his priority remains competing at the highest level of European football, where he believes he can still achieve major sporting objectives.

The Belgian goalkeeper is settled in Madrid and fully satisfied with both the sporting project and his family life in Spain. At 31, Courtois feels he still has unfinished business at Real Madrid and remains motivated to continue fighting for major domestic and international titles.

Sporting ambition, rather than financial gain, is expected to be the decisive factor in his final decision.

Real Madrid Consider Contract Renewal Until 2028

Behind the scenes, Real Madrid are already working on a potential contract extension for Courtois. His current deal runs until 2027, but the club is reportedly open to revising its usual policy regarding players over the age of 30.

Traditionally, Real Madrid prefer year-by-year renewals for veteran players. However, Courtois is viewed internally as a special case, given his importance to the squad and long-term consistency. Discussions are underway about extending his contract until 2028, with negotiations potentially reaching a conclusion during the current transfer window.
