Geertruida arrives at the Germans to fill the gap left by Simakan, who should be a reinforcement for Al Nassr
After the failed attempt to sign António Silva , Leipzig quickly gave up negotiations with Benfica and focused on reaching an agreement with Feyenoord for the transfer of Lutsharel Geertruida .
The Germans announced the official signing of the 24-year-old player, who cost 20 million euros, this Friday, on the last day of the transfer market in Germany. The Dutchman was a key player for his youth team and could play both in central defence and at right back, just like Mohamed Simakan , the player he replaced.
An hour earlier, the Red Bull team also announced on social media the departure of the French defender, who was attracting a lot of interest from Al Nassr , with Luís Castro, Cristiano Ronaldo and Otávio . However, the Saudi market is not closed yet and the two clubs still have time to close the deal.
