Inter Milan thrashes Torino 5-0 in Serie A debut with Thuram and Lautaro shining

Inter Milan made a dream start to their Serie A campaign, crushing Torino 5-0 at the San Siro under new head coach Cristian Chivu. With goals from Marcus Thuram, Lautaro Martínez, Alessandro Bastoni, and debutant Ange-Yoan Bonny, the Nerazzurri put on a dominant display that immediately placed them top of the table on goal difference.

Thuram Leads the Show

French striker Marcus Thuram was the star of the evening, scoring twice and becoming the only player to net a brace in the opening round. His sharp finishing established him as the early leader in the race for the Capocannoniere.

Club captain Lautaro Martínez also found the net, continuing his tradition of scoring in season openers, while Bastoni added his name to the scoresheet with a rare goal from defense. The rout was completed by Ange-Yoan Bonny, who marked his Serie A debut in style with a late strike.

Chivu’s Dream Debut

For Cristian Chivu, the former Inter defender now in charge of the first team, it was a perfect managerial debut in Serie A. His side dominated possession, pressed high, and never gave Torino a chance to grow into the match.

Torino’s Tough Start

Torino entered the season with high hopes after an active transfer window, adding Zakaria Aboukhlal, Giovanni Simeone, and Cyril Ngonge. But under new coach Marco Baroni, the Granata collapsed under Inter’s relentless attacking play and now face pressure to respond quickly.
