Barcelona could loan Roony Bardghji if La Liga registration fails

Barcelona faces a race against time to register Roony Bardghji in La Liga before the transfer window closes on Sunday, August 31. If the club fails to clear space under Financial Fair Play regulations, a loan move potentially back to Copenhagen is already emerging as the most realistic short-term solution.

Registration problems block debut

Although Bardghji was officially announced as a new signing, he has yet to be registered with the Spanish league. According to Spanish outlet Diario As, Barcelona’s roster limitations and strict financial rules are preventing the 19-year-old from being added to the squad list. Other players, such as Wojciech Szczęsny and Gerard Martin, are facing the same issue.

Loan emerges as Plan B

With little time left in the transfer market, Barcelona is considering loaning Bardghji back to his former club, Copenhagen, ensuring he gets consistent minutes while waiting for space to open in the squad. Turkish side Galatasaray has also expressed interest, but Barça is expected to demand clauses guaranteeing both playing time and long-term control over the player’s future.

Deadline decision ahead

The Catalan club’s only path to keeping Bardghji in the squad this season is to either free up a registration spot or ease its salary-cap burden before the market closes. If not, a loan move becomes inevitable.

For Bardghji, regular playing time is the priority. At just 19, the Swedish talent cannot afford to stall his development. Barcelona, meanwhile, must decide between gambling on keeping him in limbo or securing a temporary exit that ensures both growth and control over his career path.
