Kobbie Mainoo wants to leave Manchester United after disagreement with Ruben Amorim

Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has decided to leave Old Trafford after feeling sidelined by manager Ruben Amorim, according to Team Talk. The 20-year-old is now waiting for a transfer proposal that satisfies both parties.

From Club’s Future to Out of Plans

Once regarded as one of United’s brightest prospects, Mainoo has seen his role diminish under Amorim. The coach has not started him in either of the club’s first two Premier League games this season, and his comments after the draw against Fulham only deepened the rift.

Amorim publicly stated that Mainoo is competing for a place with Bruno Fernandes, United’s captain and star player. The midfielder reportedly viewed the remark as a sign he has little chance of breaking through, pushing him closer to the decision to seek a move.

Interest Across Europe

Real Madrid had been monitoring Mainoo since his breakout as a teenager, but the Spanish giants have cooled their interest. Sources suggest that his style of play does not fit Xabi Alonso’s system, leaving his name as little more than a “filed-away prospect” at the Bernabéu.

Tottenham, however, are showing more concrete interest. While no official bid has been submitted, Mainoo is being positively evaluated as a potential reinforcement. Spurs are also considering West Ham’s Lucas Paquetá for their midfield.
