Chelsea offer €50m for Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konaté amid defensive injury crisis

Chelsea have submitted a €50 million (R$314.5 million) offer to sign Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konaté, as they look to replace the injured Levi Colwill.
According to Team Talk, the 25-year-old Frenchman tops manager Enzo Maresca’s shortlist. However, Liverpool have no intention of selling this summer especially to a Premier League rival and are resisting negotiations.
Strong Market Interest
Konaté’s contract runs until the end of the season, drawing attention from Manchester United, PSG, and Real Madrid, who are also monitoring the situation. Chelsea had previously made informal inquiries but have now gone in with an official bid.
Liverpool Standing Firm
The Reds view Konaté as a key figure for Jürgen Klopp’s plans next season and are unwilling to sanction his departure. The defender continues to train with the squad, and there are no indications he has requested a move.
The transfer saga is expected to remain active in the coming weeks, with potential new offers from across Europe.
